As manufacturers of virtually every type of window and door design, from wood window walls to wood to corner windows, architectural demand has motivated this introduction of a series of contemporary window profiles that we refer to as "Common Mullion".
At Dynamic, all wood window walls, every stile & rail door or oversized sash component is manufactured exclusively with laminated Alaskan Yellow Cedar. Although more labor intensive to produce, this engineered core construction creates much greater strength and stability than any one piece of wood. While kiln dried Alaskan Yellow Cedar is one of the more exotic and expensive woods we could use for engineered core construction, it's unique properties of exceptional stability, natural resistance to decay and insects is one of the key, unseen differences. When combined with our own custom cut thick veneers the final result is a design built to stand the tests of time
The effortless operation of even the largest multi-panel wood window walls is now available with all of the architectural design flexibility offered by Dynamic. With a simple 180-degree turn of the handle the door lifts up on its wheels making even the largest panels slide across the opening in a seemingly weightless motion. Turn the handle back 180-degrees and the door is firmly locked in place, engaging the weather stripping against the frame for an energy efficient seal.
Dynamic wood window walls incorporate the precision of laser & CNC guided technologies in the construction of the frames, routing of the hardware cavities, coping & dowelling of the muntin & sash joints and the joining of sash corners. All of the joinery is completed with no exposed fasteners with the exception of the interior glazing stops. Wood window walls always prove be a delicate balancing act of authenticity, performance specifications and budget resources.
